Liverpool's Egyptian star Mohamed Salah has announced that he could leave the team. Salah stated that he might bid farewell to the English club in January, saying, "I will be at Anfield to say goodbye to the fans before going to the Africa Cup of Nations. After that, I don't know what will happen."
Egyptian star footballer Mohamed Salah of the English Premier League team Liverpool stated that he is not happy about being on the bench and that he could leave the team.
MOHAMED SALAH BURNS BRIDGES
After the 15th-week match where Liverpool drew 3-3 with Leeds United, Salah made a statement to the press. Expressing his disappointment about sitting on the bench, Salah said, "I sit on the bench for 90 minutes. This is the third time I am on the bench; I think it has never happened in my career before. To be honest, I am very, very disappointed. I have done a lot for this club over the years, especially last season. Now I am sitting on the bench, and I don't know why. It feels like the club has thrown me under the bus. That's how I feel. I think it is very clear that someone wants me to take all the blame. I received many promises during the summer, and so far, I have been on the bench for three matches. So I can't say they have kept their word." he stated.
'I WILL BE AT ANFIELD TO SAY GOODBYE'
The 33-year-old footballer, who stated that he will always support and love Liverpool, said, "I have said many times that I had a good relationship with the coach, but suddenly our relationship deteriorated. I don't know why, but it feels like someone doesn't want me at the club. I told my parents to come to the Brighton match on December 13. I don't know if I will play, but I will enjoy it. In my mind, I will enjoy that match because I don't know what will happen now. I will be at Anfield to say goodbye to the fans before going to the Africa Cup of Nations. I don't know what will happen afterwards." he commented.
'I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS HAPPENED TO ME'
The experienced footballer also expressed that the situation is unacceptable for him, saying, "I don't know why this happened to me. I don't understand. I think if this were somewhere else, every club would protect its player. But I don't think the problem is me. I have done a lot for this club. I experienced championship as the top scorer and best player in this league, but I am the one who has to defend myself in front of the media and the fans." he said.
