A female passenger who boarded a Metro Turizm bus to travel from Istanbul to Hatay was reportedly dropped off at the bus station in the evening following a dispute. While the female passenger claims she was assaulted, the company stated, "We will resolve our passenger's grievances as soon as possible. We are following this incident until the end."
A scandalous incident occurred on a passenger bus operated by Metro Turizm on the Istanbul-Hatay route. A female passenger named Öznur Dinçer was disturbed by the passenger in front of her fully reclining their seat. When Dinçer requested that the seat be raised a bit, a dispute broke out.
PHYSICAL INTERVENTION BY THE ATTENDANT TO THE FEMALE PASSENGER
The female attendant responded harshly to Dinçer, saying, "That passenger has the right to recline as much as they want." As the argument escalated, Öznur Dinçer was dropped off in the middle of the highway with her suitcase. While trying to record the incident on her mobile phone, Dinçer was subjected to physical intervention by the female attendant.
THEY RIPPED OFF HER NECKLACE
In the footage shared by journalist Emrullah Erdinç, it was seen that Dinçer's gold necklace was ripped off, and the passenger was protesting. Dinçer reacted by saying, "You ripped off my necklace! I can't believe you! My necklace is gone! It was a gift from my mother!"
THEY LEFT HER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AND CONTINUED ON
Moments when Dinçer was left in the middle of the highway and the bus continued on were captured on her mobile phone camera. Left alone in the middle of the road, Dinçer obtained a medical report and filed a complaint against the driver and the attendant.
METRO TURİZM: WE WILL FOLLOW THE INCIDENT UNTIL THE END
After the scandalous incident, Metro Turizm's Chairman of the Board, Umut Kahraman, made a written statement. Kahraman stated that they are closely following the process and used the following expressions: "We will resolve our passenger's grievances as soon as possible. We are following this incident until the end. We are deeply saddened by what happened. The vehicle was on a rental status, but this does not eliminate Metro Turizm's responsibility. Our passenger purchased a ticket from Metro Turizm. Therefore, all responsibilities lie with us. The contract for the vehicle has been terminated, and it has been removed from the documents. A criminal complaint has been prepared against the responsible personnel, and the file will be submitted to the prosecutor's office in the morning."
