Following the U.S. strike on nuclear facilities in Iran, a notable statement was made. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said, "This is not a war against Iran. We are ready to engage in talks with Iran. If Iran retaliates, it will be the worst mistake it has made to date."

The war between Israel and Iran intensified on its 10th day with mutual attacks. The United States, which has been eagerly awaited to see whether it will participate in the war, made its move at midnight.

US STRIKES IRAN

The US military struck Iran's Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities. With the US officially and actively involved in the war, concerns for the region have increased, and statements have come in succession.

RUBIO: WE ARE READY TO TALK TO IRAN

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated in a press release that they are ready to sit down with Iran. Rubio said, "This is not a war against Iran. We are ready to talk to Iran. There is currently no planned attack on Iran. The world is safer and more stable today compared to 24 hours ago. If Iran retaliates, it would be the worst mistake it has made so far."

VANCE: "WE ARE NOT AT WAR WITH IRAN"

On the other hand, US Vice President James David Vance made statements regarding the attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities. Vance claimed that the US is not at war with Iran, stating, "We are not at war with Iran; we are at war with Iran's nuclear program."

Vance said, "I think we have pushed their program back a really long way. I think it will take the Iranians many years to be able to develop nuclear weapons." He accused Iran of not negotiating in good faith regarding its nuclear program, stating that the failure of negotiations served as a catalyst for the attack.

"WE DO NOT WANT REGIME CHANGE"

Vance stated that they do not want regime change in Iran, saying, "We do not want regime change. We do not want to prolong this. We want to end the nuclear program and then talk about a long-term solution with the Iranians here."
