"It has become necessary to make a statement regarding the news in some media outlets about an assassination attempt on our late Deputy Speaker Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who is a member of the Imralı Delegation.
On April 2, the parking attendant suspected a sound coming from the tires while using Sırrı Süreyya Önder's vehicle and took the vehicle to service. During the inspection, it was determined that a sharp device made of iron, which could puncture the vehicle's left rear tire, had been placed.
Önder brought this incident to the party's committees, and necessary inspections and evaluations were conducted. The incident and related evidence have been submitted to the official authorities. Both our party and Mr. Önder have closely followed the matter. Due to the sensitivity of the investigation, the issue has not been reflected to the public. We have not yet received a clear result regarding the ongoing research and investigation."
