In the Narman district of Erzurum, 10-year-old Murat Tutar was attacked by stray dogs while going to the grocery store to buy bread. The child was severely injured, having been bitten on his head, neck, and many parts of his body. While the child's life remains in danger, the grieving father stated, "My child was unrecognizable. There were bite marks on his neck. His earlobe was missing, and they stitched up the holes in his head."
While the pain of the death of 2-year-old Rana El Selci, who lost her life in an attack by 10 stray dogs in Konya, is still fresh, another attack news came from Erzurum. In the rural Sütpınar neighborhood of Narman district, 10-year-old Murat Tutar was attacked by stray dogs while going to the grocery store to buy bread around 5:00 PM yesterday.
STRAY DOGS RIPPED APART THE CHILD Tutar, who was bitten by the dogs on his head, neck, and many parts of his body, was seriously injured. Rescued by a person going to the grocery store, Murat Tutar was taken to Narman State Hospital by his family. After his first intervention here, Tutar was transferred to Erzurum City Hospital. Murat Tutar, who received stitches for his wounds, was placed under treatment in the intensive care unit.
"THERE WERE BITE MARKS ON HIS NECK, HIS EAR LOBE WAS MISSING" Grieving father Yakup Tutar (34), who stated that his son was attacked by dogs while going to the grocery store, said, "There is a grocery store in the neighborhood, a bit far from us. Around 5:00 PM yesterday, we encountered him on the way while he was going to buy bread. When I asked where he was going, he said he was going to buy bread after taking money from his grandfather. He always went there. After 30 minutes, our neighbor was also going to buy bread. He asked about my father, and I told him that I sent Murat to buy bread. He went towards the grocery store. After 10 minutes, he came back screaming. My friend Eyüp brought my child back with him. I came out of the barn and saw my child covered in blood and unrecognizable. At first, I didn't notice the wounds on the back of his head. When I looked while putting him in the car to take him to the hospital, I saw that the skin was torn off, there were bite marks on his neck. His ear lobe was missing, and they stitched the holes in his head. His life is still in danger. We are waiting for good news." he expressed.
"THEY BROUGHT MY CHILD BACK COVERED IN BLOOD" Zafer Tutar, who was waiting outside the intensive care unit where his grandson was being treated, cried and said, "I gave him money to buy bread and told him if he wanted, we could go together. He wanted to go alone, but they brought my child back covered in blood. Why don't the municipalities collect these stray dogs? How many more children will be injured or die this way?" he spoke.
