In the Avanos district of Nevşehir, citizens who sold products to Nazım Kavak, the owner of a pumpkin seed processing facility, filed a criminal complaint, claiming they were defrauded on the grounds that payments were not made to them. Approximately 60 people suffered a total loss of 300 million lira. It was reported that the company owner has fled abroad and there is an arrest warrant issued against him.

LOSS 300 MILLION
It is alleged that the company owner fled abroad, and it was stated that approximately 60 people suffered a total loss of 300 million lira. It was also noted that the company owner and partners have been sentenced to prison due to bounced checks and that there is an arrest warrant against them. Victims gathered in front of the Avanos Courthouse to make a statement regarding the incident. One of the victims, Ömer Avcı, stated that the payment for the pumpkin seeds they delivered to the business was not made, saying, "We gave pumpkin seeds, and he ran away without paying us. Since the person fled, he also transferred his factory at a low price. We demand the cancellation of this sale."
60 PEOPLE VICTIMIZED
The victims' lawyer, Zekeriya Onur Özkan, stated that there are approximately 60 people in the case and that the total loss amounts to 300 million lira. Özkan noted that the suspects transferred their real estate before fleeing abroad, saying, "Our case has been ongoing for 6 months. With the support of our President and our Minister of Justice, we are requesting a red notice to be issued for the capture of these individuals."
