In the investigation concerning companies operating under the name ASSAN Group, an indictment has been prepared requesting prison sentences ranging from 10 to 36 years for 5 suspects, 4 of whom are detained.
The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding 5 suspects, including Emin Öner, the owner of "ASSAN Group," and Gürcan Okumuş, the general manager of the company, who were detained and arrested on the grounds of being connected to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) and committing military espionage, has been completed.
36 YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT REQUESTED FOR EMİR ÖNER
In the prepared indictment, it was requested that the suspect Emin Öner be sentenced to imprisonment ranging from 17 years and 6 months to 36 years for the crimes of "being a member of an armed terrorist organization" and "destroying, using for purposes other than intended, fraudulently obtaining, and stealing documents related to the security of the state in a chain manner."
21 YEARS REQUESTED FOR THE OTHER 4 SUSPECTS
In the indictment, it was requested that the suspects Ali Avcı, Gürcan Okumuş, İsmet Sayhan, and Mesut Ateş be punished with imprisonment ranging from 10 years to 21 years for the crime of "destroying, using for purposes other than intended, fraudulently obtaining, and stealing documents related to the security of the state in a chain manner."
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent the indictment to the Istanbul 28th Heavy Criminal Court.
