In the context of the betting and match-fixing investigation, the betting slips and WhatsApp messages of Fenerbahçe player Mert Hakan Yandaş and his close friend Ersen Dikmen have come to light. It was revealed that Dikmen placed bets with extraordinary intensity on İsmail Yüksek, specifically betting that he would "commit at least 3 fouls" and "receive a card," with the money funding these bets being sent by Mert Hakan. It also emerged that Mert Hakan said regarding one bet, "If it doesn't hold, I'm not a human if I don't delete the bet. I'm a Galatasaray fan, you'll see."
New details continue to emerge in the case of Mert Hakan Yandaş, who was arrested in connection with allegations of betting and match-fixing in football. In a news article by Mustafa Sait Özkan from Sabah newspaper, the betting transactions and WhatsApp conversations Yandaş had with his friend Ersen Dikmen were shared in detail.
It was noted that the special bets placed on Fenerbahçe midfielder İsmail Yüksek stood out in the coupons made by Dikmen within the scope of the investigation.
UNUSUAL BETS ON İSMAİL YÜKSEK
According to allegations, Ersen Dikmen placed numerous special bets particularly targeting İsmail Yüksek with the money sent by Mert Hakan. The first of these matches was the Slavia Prague – Fenerbahçe encounter. In the match dated November 28, 2024, Dikmen placed the bet "İsmail Yüksek will commit at least 3 fouls" at odds of 1.73 a total of 15 times and won all of them. According to match records, İsmail Yüksek committed 5 fouls in that match.
The most striking bet was placed in the Fenerbahçe – Stuttgart match on October 23. It was determined that Dikmen placed the bet "İsmail Yüksek will receive a card" three times. İsmail Yüksek, who did not receive a card throughout the match, received a yellow card after a dispute with his opponent in the 90+8th minute, and all the coupons were successful. This last-minute card became one of the most critical details that caught the attention of the prosecutor's office.
MASAK REPORT: MILLIONS OF MONEY TRAFFIC
Mert Hakan Yandaş's financial activities were detailed in the MASAK report. The report revealed that there was an inflow of 204 million TL and an outflow of 207 million 475 thousand TL from 2017 onwards.
Additionally, it was determined that Mert Hakan sent 4 million 453 thousand TL to Ersen Dikmen between 2021 and 2025, and that this money was transferred to betting sites as soon as it was deposited into the account.
WHATSAPP MESSAGES: IF IT DOESN'T WORK, I'M A GALATASARAY FAN
The WhatsApp conversations included in the case became one of the most talked-about sections of the investigation. In their chat dated May 2, 2025, it was revealed that Mert Hakan said about a bet, "If it doesn't work, if I don't delete it, I'm not human. I'm a Galatasaray fan, you'll see."
Ersen Dikmen responded to this message with "Go ahead," while Mert Hakan reiterated, "I’m saying I’m a Galatasaray fan." The statements of a player wearing a Fenerbahçe jersey sparked significant public debate following the emergence of these messages.
