POLICE SPRANG INTO ACTION AFTER GUNSHOTS
The incident occurred the previous night on Fener Street in Hisar Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, citizens who heard gunshots coming from a vehicle on the street reported the situation to the police teams. Upon the notification, the teams dispatched to the area encountered the lifeless bodies of two individuals by the roadside.
FOUND THROWN FROM A VEHICLE
Upon examination, it was determined that the deceased individuals were Gülseher Göksan (43) and Turan Emre Arıkan (23). Five bullet wounds were found on Göksan's body, while four bullet wounds were detected on Arıkan's body. A large number of empty cartridges were found at the scene and inside the vehicle.
Police teams determined that the two individuals were shot inside the vehicle and then thrown by the roadside. The vehicle believed to have been used in the murder was found abandoned further along the scene.
SECURITY CAMERAS AND WITNESS STATEMENTS WERE EXAMINED
The teams from the Didim District Police Department's Public Order Group initiated a large-scale operation following the incident. They examined the surrounding security cameras and consulted the statements of eyewitnesses, quickly identifying the suspects.
As a result of the investigations, I.O. (70) and H.O. (74), who were determined to be connected to the incident, were captured and taken into custody at a house in Hisar Neighborhood. The suspects were sent to the courthouse after completing their procedures at the police station.
REASON FOR THE MURDER: DEBT DISPUTE
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that the double murder was committed due to a dispute over lending and collecting money, and it was reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing in multiple directions.
