THEY ONLY DRANK BOTTLED WATER AT THE HOTEL

In the investigations, it was stated that Mustafa Taamart and his friend Ayoub Hamraoui, who stayed in the same room, entered Turkey for tourism on November 11, while Reda Fakhri entered on November 12. It was determined that the three had been in the same places throughout the day yesterday and had eaten the same meals, and that they only consumed the water from the bottled water at the hotel.

It was learned that Mustafa Taamart suddenly fell ill in the room around 2:00 AM and was taken to the hospital by ambulance, while Reda Fakhri was placed under observation upon his arrival at the hospital at 5:00 AM due to complaints of nausea. It was reported that his roommate Ayoub Hamraoui did not show any signs of illness.

"THERE IS NO BOTTLED WATER, ONLY BOTTLED WATER"

On the other hand, the hotel owner made a statement after two more people were hospitalized due to poisoning. In the statement, Orhan Oğlak said, "We have no food in our kitchen. We will not give any more interviews or footage. We have no offerings or sales other than bottled water in our hotel."

"ALL OUR HOTELS ARE BEING PEST CONTROLLED"

In response to a question about the claim that the hotel was pest controlled, Oğlak stated, "All our hotels are being pest controlled. One of the people who came last night already had stomach issues. They asked my son where they could eat. I cannot direct them to the man in Ortaköy. There is no breakfast, no bottled water. There is only bottled water in cups. We have informed the necessary places."

"WHEN HIS WIFE WOKE UP, SHE SAW THAT THE GIRL CHILD WAS DEAD"

Recep Yılmaz, the uncle of the father Servet Böcek (36), who is being treated in intensive care, stated in a statement to the press, "When they felt nauseous at night, they said, 'We ate mussels.' They are going to the hospital. They said, 'We have nausea, we ate mussels.' This is the hospital's report. Servet Böcek's speech is also clear; they come from there, they sleep at the hotel, but we do not know if they ate something else. When they slept at the hotel, his wife woke up and saw that the girl child was not moving. She looked and saw that she was dead. They inform the hotel staff, ambulances come, and they take each of them to different hospitals. The boy child was alive; he also passed away in the hospital. Then they say the girl was conscious, we do not know, we learn from here by phone. The mother, their parents, are talking from Isparta. They ask about the girl, they ask about the child, they say 'good.' Then they look two hours later and say 'may your heads be healthy,' she also passed away. Right now, their father, my nephew Servet Böcek, is also struggling to survive. There is no chance of recovery. The state authorities need to intervene in this. It cannot be like this. Of course, the culprits must be punished," he said.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Servet and Çiğdem Böcek, along with their children Kadir Muhammet (6) and Masal (3), who were staying at a hotel in Fatih, were hospitalized on November 12 due to complaints of nausea and vomiting, and the children lost their lives despite all interventions. The mother and father were also treated in the intensive care unit.

In the police team's investigation, it was determined that the family arrived in Istanbul from Germany on November 9 and stayed at a hotel in Fatih, and that they ate mussels from a street vendor in Ortaköy and at a restaurant on November 11.

It was claimed that due to the continuation of the vomiting and nausea complaints that started on the same day, the family members went to nearby hospitals on November 12, and after the treatment applied, they were discharged and returned to the hotel.

When the mother Çiğdem Böcek saw that her daughter was lying motionless at the hotel, all family members were taken to the hospital by the health teams called to the scene, and an investigation was initiated by the Provincial Health Directorate.
