11 MILLION LIRA FINE FOR CAN GROUP

According to the announcement on the Competition Authority's website, it was ruled that the transaction for the acquisition of Tekfen Holding's shares is subject to permission. In this context, an administrative fine of approximately 11 million lira was imposed on Can Group, a shareholder of Tekfen, for acting as if permission had been obtained, even before the conclusion of the ongoing review of the transfer transaction.

It was decided that the transaction for the acquisition of sole control of Tekfen is not legally valid until the final decision of the Authority, and that ARY Holding and Can Group, within the economic integrity they are part of, should not engage in any transactions or actions that could create the possibility of acquiring control of Tekfen.

It was reported that investigations are ongoing regarding whether the application in question constitutes a violation of the Law on the Protection of Competition, and that a decision will be made after the completion of the investigations.
