The massive dataset of over 3 million pages shared by the U.S. Department of Justice regarding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation has caused a political earthquake in Washington corridors. Among the documents covering more than 5,300 files, it is noteworthy that Donald Trump's name is referenced more than 38,000 times, while flight records confirm that former President Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's private jet at least 16 times.
The U.S. Department of Justice's release of over 3 million pages of new documents related to the investigation of pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein has turned the spotlight on leading U.S. politicians. The way former and current presidents' names appear in the documents has sparked significant reactions in the American press.
TRUMP FILES: NAME MENTIONS IN THOUSANDS OF DOCUMENTS
According to a report by Independent Turkish, The New York Times took on the examination regarding Donald Trump. The newspaper reported that Trump's name was referenced more than 38,000 times in over 5,300 documents.
However, it was noted that a large portion of these records consisted of previously published news, publicly available documents, or copied content.
"NO DIRECT COMMUNICATION DETECTED"
The documents emphasized that there was no direct communication or incriminating evidence between Trump and Epstein. It was stated that a small number of documents pertained to the friendship period of the two in the early 2000s. After Trump and Epstein parted ways, some records indicating that Epstein did not leave Trump alone were also included in the files.
FBI TIPS AND BASELESS ALLEGATIONS
The documents highlighted that some tips made to the FBI contained implications of sexual abuse against Trump, but it was emphasized that these were not evidence-based. It was reported that although some victims mentioned Trump's name, they did not make any accusations.
MELANIA-SIGNED EMAIL CONTROVERSY
An email dated 2002 showed that a message sent to Epstein's accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell ended with the signature "Melania." However, it was not clarified whether this email belonged to Melania Trump.
Another document included statements from 2011 suggesting that Epstein considered discussing Trump with Virginia Giuffre.
VIRGINIA GIUFFRE AND TRUMP ALLEGATIONS
Virginia Giuffre, one of the most well-known figures in the Epstein case, became a symbol of the fight against Epstein, who was found dead in prison in 2019. Giuffre passed away at the age of 41 on April 25, 2025.
It was particularly emphasized that Giuffre, who was working on a book with award-winning journalist Amy Wallace, never accused Trump.
Trump stated in a declaration last summer that one of the reasons for ending his relationship with Epstein was Giuffre's "removal" from Mar-a-Lago.
CLINTON SIDE: FLIGHT RECORDS AND CORRESPONDENCE
CNN conducted the examination regarding Bill Clinton. According to the report, flight records confirmed that Clinton flew on Epstein's private jet at least 16 times.
It was reported that during these trips, Epstein and Maxwell were often on the plane along with Clinton's team, and some flights were long international trips with multiple stops.
Most of the emails in the documents were related to Clinton's travel, dining, and invitation organization. However, it was also noted that some correspondences contained obscene expressions.
In an email dated April 2003, Maxwell was seen sending a message to an address believed to belong to Clinton's office, saying, "I'm glad you're coming to dinner. JE is asking if Clinton would like to come as well."
In another email from December 2001, Clinton's team notably requested Prince Andrew's phone number during a trip to Scotland.
NO DIRECT EMAIL FROM CLINTON
The documents emphasized that there was no evidence of Maxwell sending a direct email to Clinton or Clinton writing to Maxwell.
Clinton's spokesperson Angel Urena claimed that none of the mentioned emails were sent by Clinton. Urena stated that Clinton had only sent emails twice in his life; both were during his presidency, directed to astronaut John Glenn and U.S. soldiers serving in the Adriatic.
EPSTEIN AND MAXWELL CASE
Jeffrey Epstein, accused of establishing a sexual abuse and prostitution network involving dozens of girls under the age of 18, was found dead in his cell at the Manhattan Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York on August 10, 2019, after being arrested.
Epstein's business partner and former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty in December 2021 for facilitating the inclusion of children in the prostitution network and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June 2022.
