In the Malkara district of Tekirdağ, a driver named Enes A. failed to comply with a 'stop' signal and crashed into a police officer before fleeing the scene after the accident. After a chase that lasted approximately 5 kilometers, the driver was caught while hiding in a culvert, and the police officer was taken to the hospital.

HE DID NOT COMPLY WITH THE 'STOP' SIGNAL AND HIT THE POLICE
In the Ahievren neighborhood of Malkara district, police teams conducting a traffic check in the morning signaled the driver of the SUV with license plate 61 AEK 606, whom they suspected. The driver Enes A., who did not comply with the signal, fled by hitting police officer Recep B. The gendarmerie teams started to pursue the fleeing driver. Meanwhile, the injured police officer was taken to Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital by the arriving ambulance.
CAUGHT IN THE CULVERT
During the approximately 5-kilometer chase, Enes A. lost control of his SUV, which overturned into a field. Slightly injured, Enes A. abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. Reinforcement gendarmerie and police teams were dispatched to the area, and a search was initiated in the vicinity. In the search conducted by the teams, driver Enes A. was caught and detained in the culvert where he was hiding. It was determined that Enes A. had an arrest warrant for various crimes.
It was reported that the health condition of police officer Recep B., who was treated in the hospital, is good.
