After approximately three years of construction, the Presidential Complex of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was completed and inaugurated with the participation of President Erdoğan. In his speech at the ceremony, Erdoğan stated, "Today, we are placing another seal on this land. We are providing the Turkish Cypriot people with another magnificent work."

"WE ARE IN GREAT EXCITEMENT"
President Erdoğan's statements during the ceremony are as follows:
On this meaningful occasion, I am very pleased to be in the TRNC once again today. I welcome you, dear brothers who witness this historic moment, and I say you have come with joy. We are all in great excitement and enthusiasm together. Today, we are sealing this land once again. We are providing the Turkish Cypriot people with another magnificent work. We are not holding an ordinary opening ceremony here today. At the same time, we are declaring our will and our love for freedom.
We are inaugurating the presidential building and the parliament today in the first phase. We will have brought a work worthy of the increasing reputation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to Nicosia. The Republic campus is a symbol of the determination of the Turkish Cypriot people. This place is also a manifestation of a state's will to exist against injustices and lawlessness. We will continue our struggle for independence and future more strongly. Those who try to sow seeds of hatred in these fertile lands to disrupt our brotherhood and create divisions will not succeed.
I thank each of you for your love and loyalty to your promises. I want you to know that Turkey will always be by your side whenever you need it, just as it was yesterday.
PARLIAMENT BUILDING
The parliament building, constructed on an area of 20,010 square meters, includes the presidency and prime ministry offices, a general assembly hall for 157 people, and 25 offices for members of parliament, as well as a ministers' meeting room. The building also features a conference hall for 135 people, a dining hall for 252 people, as well as a hall of honor, group meeting rooms, and a library. Additionally, 16 meeting rooms have been built in the parliament building for use in various events.
HIGH COURT, NATIONAL GARDEN, MOSQUE, AND LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
The construction of the national garden, which will cover a total area of 452,428 square meters, including 290,000 square meters designed as green space within the Presidential Complex, is ongoing. A national mosque for 2,252 people is being built on an area of 5,661 square meters. The national garden will include social facilities, children's play areas, 4 sports fields, 2 tennis courts, an amphitheater for 1,000 people, walking and cycling paths, a parking lot for 1,675 vehicles, and a cafeteria. The construction of the high court and the national library has also begun as part of the final phase of the complex project.
CYPRUS STONE AND MARBLE WERE USED IN THE BUILDINGS
Mehmet Sezer Coşkun, the construction engineer serving as the project supervisor, stated that the buildings were designed as environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. Coşkun provided the following information about the works: We have completed our parliament building, our presidential building, the entrance buildings, security buildings, and military unit buildings in the Presidential Complex. We have also laid the foundation for the high court building, and construction is ongoing. Our work in the national garden is also continuing. At the same time, we have laid the foundation for the library construction in the national garden, and our reinforced concrete works are ongoing there as well. Special facade stones known as Cyprus stone have been used in our buildings. Some details of the buildings feature Marmara marble, which we refer to as Turkish stone. Thus, we have created a message of unity by using both Cyprus stone and Turkish stone in the same place.
"IT SUITS OUR ISLAND VERY WELL"
Cypriot Turgut Öder stated, "It suits our Cyprus, our island very well. The national garden has become a large area for everyone to use. The construction, improvement, renewal, and modernization of these buildings were a necessity for our island. As a Cypriot, I am very pleased with all the investments. I would like to express my gratitude to all the state officials involved, TOKİ, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and our President."
