Korkmaz, who started sports at the age of 16, achieved her first success by defeating her opponents in the Turkey Championship after a 3-month preparation. In a short time, Aleyna won 7 Turkey championships in Muay Thai, one European second place, two world second places, and in the U23 category, she won the Turkey championship and world second place. Aleyna, who has been the Turkey champion in kickboxing three times, also achieved the World Cup championship and Turkey championship in the seniors category.
'THE GYM CAME UP IN FRONT OF ME WHILE PASSING BY'
Aleyna Korkmaz stated in an interview with AA that she has been interested in sports since a young age.
Aleyna said, "I started Muay Thai at the age of 16. I have been interested in this sport since childhood; it would come up in videos. One day, while passing by, the gym came up in front of me, and I wanted to register. I have 7 Turkey championships in Muay Thai and 3 Turkey championships in kickboxing. I have one World Cup championship in kickboxing, one European second place in Muay Thai, and two world second places. Right now, we have professional matches ahead of us, and we will participate in them. On September 20, hopefully, we will achieve success here in kickboxing as well," she said.
Aleyna, who says she loves sports very much, stated, "In the future, I want to become a coach, train children, support them, and give them ideas. I want to wave our flag in the best places professionally and represent Turkey. My training lasts one hour in the morning and two hours in the evening. Our training continues every day of the week, including Saturday and Sunday." she said.
