CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir announced that the 'house arrest' decision for the driver Gökhan Gülyurt, who drove the party bus carrying members of parliament and did not comply with the 'stop' warning, running over a police officer, has been lifted.
In the capital city of Ankara, during the march to be held on the occasion of April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the driver of the bus transporting CHP deputies to the 1st Parliament, Gökhan Gülyurt, did not comply with the 'stop' warning and drove the vehicle onto a police officer. During the incident, the traffic police escaped to the right side of the bus, avoiding potential injury from an accident.
HOUSE ARREST IMPOSED
Following the incident, the driver Gökyurt was detained as part of the investigation initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and a 'travel ban' and 'house arrest' decision was issued against him.
APPEAL ACCEPTED
Recently, a new development occurred regarding driver Gökhan Gülyurt. As a result of the acceptance of the appeal against the aforementioned decision, the 'house arrest' decision given to Gülyurt was lifted, and his electronic bracelet was removed. The development was announced by CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir.
