A fire broke out on an IETT bus in motion in Bahçeşehir. The flames quickly engulfed the entire bus, and the driver managed to evacuate the passengers at the last moment. The bus, which was consumed by the fire, became unusable.

Fearful moments were experienced around 07:30 on Ispartakule Street in the 1st Section Neighborhood of Bahçelievler district in Istanbul. While the IETT bus operating on the 146T-1 Fenertepe Esenkent line was in service, the driver Hasan Hasgül saw smoke coming from the bus's engine compartment.

IT BECAME UNUSABLE

The bus that was on fire was extinguished with the intervention of the fire department, but it became unusable. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries in the fire, while the street was closed to traffic for a while. The bus was covered with a tarpaulin and towed away with the help of a tow truck.
