STATEMENT MADE FROM OFFICIAL ACCOUNTS
The Ministry shared the statement regarding the allegations through its official social media accounts. In the statement, it was emphasized that the news published in some newspapers is false and misleading, and the public was asked not to trust such content.
"THE NEWS DOES NOT REFLECT THE TRUTH"
In the shared statement, it was stated, "The false news published in some newspapers absolutely does not reflect the truth." The statement also mentioned that the relevant media outlets had previously made baseless news suggesting that the Ministry intervened in the legal process later on.
The statement noted that the death of Narin Güran, who went missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır on August 21, 2024, and whose lifeless body was found on the 19th day of the search, deeply affected all of Turkey.
"INTERVENTION IN THE CASE FROM THE FIRST DAY"
The Ministry emphasized that its lawyers actively intervened in the second case opened in connection with the trial that started on November 7, 2024. The statement recorded that a legal struggle is being carried out with determination to ensure that the person or persons responsible for Narin Güran's death receive the heaviest punishment.
THE NEWS HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM BROADCAST
The statement indicated that after the allegations appeared on social media yesterday, contact was made with the relevant individuals, and the error was acknowledged, leading to the removal of the news from broadcast.
