In the Edremit district of Balıkesir, a shooting incident occurred, resulting in the death of one person and serious injuries to two others. The moments of the attack by the motorcyclist were captured second by second by security cameras. The teams of the Edremit District Police Department identified and detained the suspect and his companions in a short time of about 3 hours. According to the information obtained, the incident took place at a workplace on Akçay Street in the Hamidiye neighborhood, where one of the two helmeted individuals who arrived on a motorcycle opened fire with a gun. As a result of the gunfire, Y.T., who was inside the workplace, was injured in the neck area, while Y.D. was injured in the head area. Ebubekir Turanlı (33), who was present at the workplace, died at the scene from a head injury.
13 EMPTY SHELLS WERE RECOVERED
During the investigations conducted by the Edremit District Police Department teams at the scene, 13 empty shells were recovered, and it was determined that the suspects who carried out the attack fled in the direction of Akçay after the incident. As a result of comprehensive efforts, the license plate of the motorcycle involved in the incident was identified. Following the license plate, the technical tracking conducted by the teams led to the capture of R.A. in an operation organized in the Avcılar neighborhood, who was determined to have carried out the attack. Additionally, F.E. and E.B. were also detained during the operation. It was learned that efforts to capture B.Ç., who was identified as the motorcycle driver during the incident, were ongoing.

As part of the operation, 3 handguns, 1 bulletproof vest, 40 drug pills, the motorcycle used in the incident, and a helmet were seized. It was learned that the suspect R.A. confessed in his initial statement that he carried out the incident due to insults directed at his sister. It was reported that the investigation regarding the incident is ongoing. The moments of the armed attack were captured second by second by the security camera. The security camera recorded the moments when two individuals arrived at the location on a motorcycle and attacked the venue.
