POLICE NOTICED CHILDREN PLAYING WITH MILITARY AMMUNITION
According to the information obtained, teams from the Kırıkkale Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Theft Bureau were conducting work on a different matter on 1032nd Street in Kaletepe Neighborhood. During this time, the police noticed that children were playing with military ammunition in the garden. Due to the danger it posed, the children were removed from the scene, and the garden was closed off with a security tape.
11 ARTILLERY SHELLS WERE TAKEN FOR EXAMINATION
Bomb disposal experts and crime scene investigation teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams took 11 artillery shells, which were assessed to be military ammunition, for examination. It was stated that the shells would be destroyed after the examination. It was learned that the suspect scrap dealer A.D. brought the ammunition from the destruction site in Yahşihan district belonging to the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE).
An investigation into the incident was initiated by the teams of the Anti-Terror Branch upon the instruction of the public prosecutor.
