121 VEHICLES FINED
The Presidency's Communication Directorate Disinformation Combat Center (DMM) denied the claim that "radar systems were disabled for the wedding of Ahmet Emin Ahlatcı and Elif Engin held on June 21 in Çorum." "A DELIBERATE CAMPAIGN"
The statement from the Disinformation Combat Center is as follows:
"News appearing in some media outlets stating 'Radars were turned off for the wedding, a trap for citizens, a favor for the rich' is disinformation. Our Ministry of Interior is working on the ground to ensure traffic safety and protect the lives and property of our citizens, and is strictly applying the current legislation for this purpose. The claim that radar systems were disabled for a wedding ceremony held on June 21, 2025, in Çorum is false and targeting our Ministry of Interior with such news is a product of a deliberate campaign. The License Plate Recognition System (PTS) and Electronic Monitoring Systems (EDS) established along the Çorum Ring Road Boulevard and the Çorum-Sungurlu route have not been disabled in any way. Indeed, according to the data from our Ministry of Interior, 121 vehicles were fined during inspections conducted on the route where it was claimed that radar systems were disabled on June 21, 2025. We respectfully announce to the public."
