In the Merkezefendi district of Denizli, a family experienced a tragedy while packaging snacks to be distributed at a wedding and enjoying themselves to the music of a folk dance. During the family's joyful preparations, the adobe ceiling of the house collapsed. Six people who were injured in the incident were taken to hospitals.

The incident occurred in a single-story adobe house located on 272/3 Street in the Muratdede neighborhood of Denizli's Merkezefendi district. Preparations were being made for the wedding that will take place on Sunday at the house owned by Hamit Tan.
TRAGEDY WHILE PACKING SNACKS AND PLAYING GAMES
While preparing the snacks to be distributed at the wedding, it was learned that family members were also having fun among themselves with traditional music. During the happy preparations of the family, the ceiling of the adobe house they were in collapsed. With the collapse of the ceiling, cries for help rose from those inside the house.
6 INJURED
Neighbors reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, AFAD, UMKE, health, police, fire, and SAR search and rescue teams were dispatched to the area. AFAD, UMKE, fire, and SAR teams entered the house with the collapsed ceiling and evacuated the injured inside. Six people who were injured due to the ceiling collapse were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulances. It was learned that the injured taken to the hospitals were not in life-threatening condition and their health status was good.
HOUSE SEALED
After detailed examinations by the teams in the house with the collapsed ceiling, the adobe house was sealed. The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
