The strong winds and heavy rainfall, which the Meteorology 4th Regional Directorate announced could reach speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour, adversely affected life in many areas of Antalya.
LIFE IN THE CITY HAS COME TO A STANDSTILL
Due to the strong winds that began to show their effects in the evening hours, trees fell onto the roads in some areas of the city. In particular, the heavy rainfall that negatively affected life in the Konyaaltı region caused some streams to overflow in the neighborhoods of Sarısu, Gökdere, Karaçay, and Hisarçandır. As the overflowing streams flooded the streets, the water level reached up to 50 centimeters in some places.

In the Kepez region, the roof of a football field located in the Gündoğdu neighborhood collapsed during a match due to the strong winds. It was reported that there were no injuries in the incident. In Cumhuriyet Square, a pine tree approximately 20 meters tall, located in front of the governor's office, fell onto the road. The road was closed to vehicle traffic due to the fallen tree.
