The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated the list of foods that have been adulterated and could pose a health risk. The new list includes a döner kebab shop from Ankara and a sausage manufacturer from Sakarya. The products of both companies were found to contain equine meat.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated the list of foods that have been counterfeited and adulterated, which could endanger public health. The new list, prepared as a result of inspections conducted by the ministry, was shared with the public via the website "güvenilirgida.tarimorman.gov.tr".
COUNTERFEITED FOOD PRODUCTS
The ministry has once again updated the list of companies and products involved in food fraud. The list includes products such as sausage, döner, spices, olive oil, lahmacun, pide, meatballs, Adana kebab, hamburgers, casserole, honey, cheese, kashar, and yogurt.
SCANDAL DETECTED IN SAUSAGE IN SAKARYA
A sausage producer from Sakarya was included in the updated list. Analyses conducted on beef sausage produced by Kartal Meat and Meat Products, operating in the Akyazı district, revealed the presence of equine meat.
DÖNER PRODUCER IN ANKARA ALSO ON THE LIST
A similar violation was identified in the cooked beef döner produced by Anksan Livestock Food Agricultural Products, operating in the Etimesgut district of Ankara. Inspections found equine meat in the product in question.
