The statements of the three individuals arrested as part of the drug and prostitution investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office have emerged. The suspects denied the allegations in their statements.
The statements of the suspects Sara E., Rojin D., and Hatice K. who were arrested as part of the "drug" and "prostitution" investigation have emerged.
An operation was carried out as part of the newly initiated 'drug' and 'prostitution' investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Those detained in the operation, Aybike A., Fatma E., Berfin K., Burcu Esra B., Fatma G., Gülşah Rojin D., Hatice Kuzu, Melisa G., Sara E., Yasmin Y., were transferred to the Istanbul Courthouse on January 29. The suspects, whose statements were taken at the courthouse, were arrested for the crime of "encouraging, forcing, or facilitating prostitution."
STATEMENTS EMERGED
In her statement to the prosecutor, suspect Sara E. said, "The items I brought with me when I went to Amsterdam were cakes and gummy candies laced with marijuana. I normally do not use alcohol or drugs. I do not know Emrah Bağdatlı, Murat Ongun, Fatih Keleş, or Murat Gülibrahimoğlu; however, I know Hüseyin Köksal. I know him because he is the boyfriend of a person whose real name is Rojin, but I know her as Gönül. Although she told us she had a boyfriend, I later learned that she did not. I know Servet, whom I know as Hüseyin Köksal's assistant. Zeynep T. invited me, saying it was Rojin's birthday and they would celebrate it at the hotel.
"I DID NOT SEE IF HE USED IT"
Me, Zeynep, Gülçin, and İlke went to the birthday party at the hotel. A celebration was held in a residence-style place there. When I entered, there was Hüseyin Köksal, his assistant Servet, and Uğur T., who was introduced as the CEO of the hotel. Besides me, Rojin, Zeynep, Gülçin, İlke, and 10 other girls I met there, there was also a foreign national named Nigar. There was cocaine on the table. I saw Hüseyin Köksal enter the room, but I did not see if he used it.
They offered it to me as well, but I did not use it. Rojin, whom I know to be Hüseyin's girlfriend, came to me and said that if Hüseyin likes one of the girls he is with, he would be with her for a fee. I did not accept. Gülçin and Rojin used to use drugs. A few days later, Servet, whom I know as Hüseyin's assistant, called me and said we should meet at another hotel to discuss the events that happened that night at the hotel. When I went, Hüseyin was there too. That day we talked about trivial matters. Hüseyin did not talk much during this meeting, and then they left because they had meetings. I never saw Hüseyin again after that. My knowledge and experience regarding drugs and the other issues you asked about are limited to this," she said.
"I DO NOT ACCEPT THAT MY CODE NAME IS GÖNÜL MAMA"
Arrested Gülşah Rojin D. stated in her statement to the prosecutor, "I have never used drugs in my life. I absolutely do not accept the prostitution charge against me. I have never acted as an intermediary for anyone for prostitution. I know the person named Hüseyin Köksal you asked about. I gave him tennis lessons twice. I do not accept that my code name is Gönül Mama. I gave this tennis lesson to Hüseyin Köksal at the hotel. I do not remember my phone number," she said.
"WE MET WITH KÖKSAL A FEW TIMES"
Arrested Hatice K. stated, "I have never used drugs before or currently, nor have I facilitated anyone else's use. I do not know any of the individuals. I met them entirely at the police station. We had no prior acquaintance. I am close friends with Emel Müftüoğlu, who is a regular customer of the beauty salon I worked at. About 2 years ago, when Emel Müftüoğlu said she would go on vacation to Cyprus and invited me, we went on vacation together at a hotel called Merit Hotel in Cyprus. After planning the vacation with Emel Müftüoğlu, her friend Hüseyin Köksal also came to that hotel for vacation.
I met him because he is a friend of Müftüoğlu. After leaving Cyprus, I met Hüseyin Köksal in Istanbul 4-5 times. We met a few times in the residence located above the shopping mall. When I went to Köksal, he was usually in a meeting. After the meeting, I saw Murat Ongun leave twice. I did not establish any friendship with Murat Ongun. While I was waiting for Köksal, I met Murat Ongun. He introduced himself as a doctor. Since there was a long interval between our meetings with Köksal, we could not become very close friends. I absolutely did not encourage anyone to engage in prostitution or facilitate prostitution," she stated.
