Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the suspect's capture through a post on social media, stating, "Necessary actions have been taken," and used the following expressions:

"The person named T.T., who insulted a female driver he had a traffic dispute with in Ataşehir, Istanbul, and damaged her vehicle, has been captured and detained. What is this anger, what are these bullying behaviors? Traffic is not only the flow of vehicles; it is also a public space where the behaviors, values, and respect for one another in society are visible. Traffic deterrence should be seen not only as a penal system but as a multi-layered mechanism that builds a culture of safe living in society. According to this article, which is included in the New Traffic Law Proposal for the first time: We will impose an administrative fine of 180,000 TL on drivers who get out of their vehicles with the intent to attack and block the road, we will revoke their driver's license for 60 days, and we will remove their vehicle from traffic for 60 days. When you see drivers who disregard traffic safety and behave like 'city bandits' in traffic, please report them to our 112 Emergency Call Center. We will take the necessary actions," he stated.
