The tender for the construction, maintenance, and operation of vehicle inspection stations has been concluded. TÜVTÜRK did not win the tender. A group that includes companies from the USA, Spain, and Argentina will conduct vehicle inspections in Turkey for the next 20 years. Following this development, a video from previous years went viral on social media.
In Turkey, vehicle inspection stations, where periodic inspections of more than 13 million vehicles and exhaust gas emission measurements are conducted each year, will change hands starting from 2027. The highest bid in the tender to determine the companies that will obtain the operating rights of vehicle inspection stations for the 2027-2047 period was given by the MOI Joint Venture Group.
THE FIGURE IS ASTOUNDING
The tender at the Privatization Administration (ÖİB) was held in two separate groups. MOI made the highest bid of 830 million dollars for the first group and 890 million dollars for the second group. Doğuş Group, which won the vehicle inspection tender in 2007 for 20 years and has been operating for 18 years, was the first to be eliminated in the tender.
