The right to develop and operate the Zangezur Corridor, which connects Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan and has been a subject of debate between Baku and Armenia for years, has been granted to the United States for 99 years. During a summit held at the White House between the U.S., Azerbaijan, and Armenia, it was announced that the project's name would be "International Peace and Prosperity Trump Road."
The White House hosted a historic agreement. U.S. President Trump welcomed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. At the summit, Aliyev and Pashinyan signed a peace agreement that will end the war between their countries.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE ZANGEZUR CORRIDOR
The Zangezur Corridor is a transportation project that will connect the western parts of Azerbaijan to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. This project, which came to the agenda under Article 9 of the ceasefire agreement signed after the Second Karabakh War, passes through the Syunik region in southern Armenia.
