Every year, as part of the charity meal held in the village of Muratlar in the Bayramiç district of Çanakkale, young people gathered and searched for their potential partners by walking along a 1.5-kilometer road called 'Aşıklar Sokağı' (Lovers' Street).

The charity meal held on the second Sunday of May every year in Aşıklar Street in Muratlar village, located 25 kilometers from the Bayramiç district of Çanakkale, was realized. The 90 cauldrons of keşkek prepared for the village charity were served to the participants after the recitation of the mevlid.
THEY WALKED 1.5 KILOMETERS TO FIND THEIR MATCH
While thousands of people from surrounding provinces and villages attended the meal, many young girls and boys walked along the 1.5-kilometer path starting from the charity place and extending into the forest to find their most suitable match throughout the day.
THEY LAID THE FOUNDATION OF A FRIENDSHIP THAT MAY LEAD TO MARRIAGE
This year, many young people met each other in Aşıklar Street and perhaps laid the foundations of a friendship that may lead to marriage.
ENGAGED COUPLES ALSO ATTENDED
22-year-old Gözde Aslan from Bayramiç and 24-year-old Mürsel Dinç from Tongurlu village, who attended the event, stated that they are engaged and that it was their first time at Aşıklar Street, and they took a souvenir photo in front of the Aşıklar Street sign.
MARRIED COUPLES CAME TO THE STREET WHERE THEY MET
Additionally, Aşıklar Street has also hosted couples who met here in previous years and later got married, along with their children and grandchildren. Married couples refreshed their memories by coming to the street where they met in previous years.
