A couple camping in the Tekir Plateau of Kayseri died from carbon monoxide poisoning due to gas leaking from the coal stove they were using to warm up.
Fatma Gül and Mustafa K., a couple who rented a tent to camp in Tekir Plateau at the foot of Mount Erciyes, died from carbon monoxide poisoning due to the coal stove they lit to keep warm.
RELATIVES COULDN'T REACH THEM, TRAGIC END
The incident occurred around 10:00 PM at the tent camping area in Tekir Plateau, Mount Erciyes. Relatives of Mustafa K. and his wife Fatma Gül K., who rented a tent to camp in the plateau, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center after they could not reach them. Upon the notification, gendarmerie and health teams were dispatched to the area. During the inspection by the teams, it was determined that Mustafa K. and his wife Fatma Gül K. had lost their lives.
THEY WERE POISONED BY CARBON MONOXIDE GAS
In the investigation, it was determined that the couple was poisoned by carbon monoxide gas leaking from the coal stove they lit to keep warm. The couple's bodies were taken to the morgue of Kayseri State Hospital for autopsy. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
