U.S. President Donald Trump announced in a post on the Truth Social platform that he will sign an executive order this morning at the White House that will raise drug prices worldwide and position the U.S. as the country with the lowest drug prices.

Trump stated; "For many years, the world has wondered why the prices of prescription drugs and pharmaceutical products in the United States are much higher than in other countries, sometimes 5 to 10 times more expensive for the same drug produced by the same company in the same laboratory or facility. Explaining this has always been difficult and very embarrassing because there was actually no correct or justifiable answer."
