A company in Denizli that produces wet food and canned products filed a lawsuit due to an unpaid check it received in exchange for products provided to a pet products company owned by Yağmur Atacan, the husband of actress Pınar Altuğ. After the check, amounting to 761,510 TL, bounced, the company sued both Atacan and his company.

A pet food and canned goods production company operating in the Çivril district of Denizli has filed a lawsuit against Xpet Pet Products, owned by famous actor Yağmur Atacan, for receivables. The company reportedly resorted to legal action due to the checks issued being returned as unpaid and the inability to reach the other party.

CHECK RETURNED UNPAID

Developments between the two companies, which have maintained commercial relations in the pet products sector for about a year, have led to a legal process. According to allegations, the Denizli-based production company received checks totaling 761,510 TL in exchange for products supplied to Atacan's company. However, when the check dated April 27, 2025, was due, the bank informed that it was "unpaid."

"WE CANNOT REACH HIM"

Sadri Porhan, the company's Financial Manager, explained the ongoing process with the following words: "We are a company that produces wet food and canned goods in Denizli. We have been conducting commercial activities with Xpet Pet Products, owned by Yağmur Atacan, for about a year. The company issued checks for the products received in the last 2-3 months. One of these checks was due, and it was returned unpaid. We also have checks that are not yet due. We wanted to reach him but could not. As a result, we have initiated administrative and enforcement proceedings against him."

It has been reported that the legal process initiated upon the company's official complaint is ongoing. While no settlement has been reached between the parties yet, it is stated that other receivable items, in addition to the check, may also be subject to examination. The Denizli company emphasized in a public statement that the process will be closely monitored to ensure their grievances are addressed and to prevent similar situations from occurring again.
