7 SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the operation on his official social media account. It was determined that 9 suspects were caught, who pressured citizens by indebting them with high-interest loans, made them sign documents such as checks, promissory notes, and deeds as collateral for the money lent at high interest, and seized the assets of victims who could not make payments through threats and pressure. 7 of the suspects were arrested, and judicial control was ordered for 2 of them.
ASSETS WORTH 1 BILLION 250 MILLION LIRA SEIZED
As a result of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) data, 75 real estate properties and 34 vehicles worth 1 billion 250 million TL belonging to suspects who committed the crimes of "money laundering from crime" and "usury" in an organized manner were seized. In the operation, 2,478 checks and promissory notes, 10 checkbooks, and a large number of computers, mobile phones, various documents, and digital materials were confiscated.
