Every year, during the first week of May, the villagers prepare a charity meal to wish for a "bountiful harvest" for that year's crops. This meal is made from a very special mixture and is cooked only once a year.
GROUND IN A STONE MILL
The grains harvested from each household in the village last year are collected. The 13 types of grains collected are ground in a stone mill, just like 672 years ago.
DEDE AŞI DISH IS PREPARED
They prepare a dish called "Dede Aşı" from the ground grains and serve it to guests coming from all over Bursa. The visiting guests enjoy the Dede Aşı served to them in this village, which is only offered once a year.
