The National Defense University announced that Veli Bilgin, a first-year student at the Air Force Academy, died in the hospital after falling ill during an Applied Training Camp held at Yalova 18th Main Base Command. It is assessed that he fell as a martyr due to sunstroke; his body will be sent to his hometown of Niğde.
The National Defense University (MSÜ) announced that Veli Bilgin, a first-year student at the Air Force Academy, lost his life after falling ill during the Applied Training Camp held in Yalova.
In a statement from MSÜ, it was stated: 'Cadet Veli Bilgin, who fell ill during training at the Applied Training Camp held at the 18th Main Base Command in Yalova, was taken to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions and passed away. We wish mercy from Allah for our student and condolences to his grieving family, classmates, and the noble Turkish nation.'
Veli Bilgin, who is believed to have fallen as a martyr due to sunstroke, will have his body sent to his hometown Niğde.
TREATMENT OF 3 OTHER STUDENTS CONTINUES
It has been learned that the treatment of the other 3 students who fell ill continues, and the illnesses are believed to be caused by sunstroke.
