In Arnavutköy, Istanbul, a group removed a lifeguard observation tower used for public safety on the beach and carried it into the sea. The group used the tower as a diving platform, and their dangerous actions were captured moment by moment on a mobile phone camera.
A group swimming at Karaburun Beach in Istanbul's Arnavutköy district removed a watchtower used by lifeguards to monitor citizens and carried it into the sea.
THEY REMOVED IT FROM ITS PLACE AND MADE A JUMPING PLATFORM
The group then used the watchtower as a diving platform. The individuals damaged the platforms by turning the watchtower, which is used for citizen safety and allows lifeguards to monitor the beach from a wider angle to quickly respond to potential drowning incidents, into their own entertainment.

Those moments were recorded by citizens nearby using their mobile phone cameras. The footage shows the individuals removing the watchtower from its place, carrying it into the sea, and taking turns jumping into the water from the tower.
GENDARMERIE IS SEARCHING FOR THEM
Gendarmerie teams have launched an operation to apprehend the individuals who damaged public property.
