In the Akdeniz district of Mersin, 1 truckload of trash was removed by municipal teams from a home where the owners were reported to have passed away. It was reported that the same home had been cleaned before, and during that process, 2 truckloads of waste were removed.

Teams of the Akdeniz Municipality in Mersin took action following complaints from residents of the Mesudiye neighborhood regarding a two-story detached house.

TEAMS SHOCKED BY THE SCENE

Accompanied by neighborhood headman Uğur Üstünkaya, the teams arriving at the address discovered during their inspection that a large amount of garbage, furniture waste, textile products, and various packaging waste had been accumulated inside the house.

HOURS-LONG CLEANING OPERATION

The teams launched a comprehensive cleaning effort to remove the waste, which posed health risks and emitted foul odors into the environment. Using machinery support, all waste inside the house was carefully evacuated. After hours of work, the house was cleared of garbage and restored to a clean state. As a result of the operation, one truckload of waste was removed from the neighborhood.

HAD BEEN CLEANED BEFORE

It was also learned that the same house had been similarly cleaned while its owners, a mother and son, were still alive, with two truckloads of garbage and waste removed during that previous operation.
