The Turkish Men's National Basketball Team defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 82-75 away in the fifth match of Group C of the FIBA 2027 World Cup European Qualifiers First Round.
BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA LEADS AT HALFTIME
Turkey started the match with a three-pointer from Tarık Biberovic, and after mutual scores, led the first period 10-6. Following minutes where both teams struggled to score, Bosnia and Herzegovina reduced the deficit to 1: 9-10. In the final stretch, the crescent-stars could not get what they wanted under the basket on offense, and Bosnia and Herzegovina finished the first quarter ahead 18-17 with a three-pointer from Garza.
At the start of the second period, both teams traded scores while the gap remained: 22-21. Producing points from beyond the arc, Bosnia and Herzegovina gained a 5-point advantage (28-23) with 5 minutes 39 seconds left before halftime. The national team could not hit crucial shots in the paint, and Bosnia and Herzegovina went to the locker room ahead 39-34.
