Within the scope of the 'criminal organization for profit' investigation targeting Imamoglu, 12 suspects detained on allegations of irregularities in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality tenders were referred to the courthouse after health checks.
12 suspects, detained on allegations of irregularities in tenders conducted by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Presidency's Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department European Side Road Maintenance and Repair Branch Directorate and the Information Processing Department Electronic Systems Directorate within the scope of the investigation into the "İmamoğlu criminal organization for profit", have been referred to the courthouse.
The procedures at the police station for the 12 suspects apprehended during the operation by the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch teams have been completed.
After a health check at Bayrampaşa State Hospital, the suspects were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
OPERATION
Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch teams had determined that the work and transactions in 6 tenders conducted by the IMM Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department European Side Road Maintenance and Repair Branch Directorate and the Information Processing Department Electronic Systems Directorate were irregular.
Following the investigations, 12 suspects were detained in simultaneous operations at designated addresses in Istanbul, Kırklareli, and Trabzon.
In a statement from the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was reported that detention orders were issued for 13 suspects within the scope of the investigation, 12 suspects were caught in the operation, and 1 suspect was determined to be abroad.
Meanwhile, it was learned that the detained individuals were department head A.T, European Side Road Maintenance and Repair Branch Manager M.E, Electronic Systems Manager H.Ç, technician E.K, technical specification preparers E.K, İ.Y, M.S.K, and N.B, engineer M.Ç, a company partner Z.D, and construction company officials İ.K. and İ.S.K.
