According to Israeli media, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump held a critical phone call late at night. During the conversation, the possibility of renewed military operations against Iran was discussed, with indications that the US might join Israel in attacks if hostilities resume. Trump's tough messages toward Iran and Netanyahu's convening of his security cabinet have once again raised tensions in the Middle East.
In a phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump, the option of renewed military operations against Iran was reportedly discussed. According to a report by Israeli state television Kan TV, citing a senior Israeli official, the US could provide direct military support to Israel if conflicts with Iran resume.
“US MAY JOIN ATTACKS ALONG WITH ISRAEL”
According to information reported by Kan TV, the Washington administration is considering the option of coordinated attacks with Israel if tensions with Iran escalate into renewed hot conflict. It was stated that security discussions between Tel Aviv and Washington have intensified, particularly due to Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile capabilities.
Analyses in the US press noted that the Trump administration has hardened its rhetoric against Iran in recent weeks. Axios reported that Trump has sent a message to Iran saying “The clock is ticking” and that if Tehran does not back down in nuclear negotiations, harsher military options could be activated.
NETANYAHU HELD EMERGENCY SECURITY MEETING
Following the phone call, Netanyahu reportedly convened his security cabinet to evaluate military operations conducted by Israel on various fronts. Israeli government sources conveyed that Iran’s influence in the region has caused serious concern in the Tel Aviv administration.
News in the Israeli press claimed that Netanyahu presented Trump with new attack plans against Iran, targeting primarily missile production facilities and nuclear infrastructure.
TRUMP'S CONSECUTIVE STRONG MESSAGES
Trump’s recent statements regarding Iran have drawn attention. The US President posted messages on his Truth Social account, warning Iran, “Act fast, or nothing will be left.” Reports in American media indicated that the Pentagon is keeping new operation plans against Iran on the table.
The possibility of a potential joint operation between the US and Israel has also caused unease in energy markets. Experts noted that a new military tension, especially around the Strait of Hormuz, could lead to sharp fluctuations in oil prices.
TENSIONS RISING AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE EAST
One of the developments escalating regional tensions was a drone attack on the Barakah Nuclear Plant in the UAE. Following the attack, Washington and Tel Aviv are believed to be moving toward stricter security policies against Iran. The AP and other international organizations reported that military coordination between the US and Israel has accelerated after the attack.
On the other hand, the Iranian front has not signaled any retreat on its nuclear program despite US pressures. The Tehran administration’s unwillingness to halt uranium enrichment activities, in particular, weakens the possibility of a diplomatic solution.
FOREIGN PRESS: CEASEFIRE HANGS BY A THREAD
International media outlets highlight that the current ceasefire on the Israel-Iran line is extremely fragile. The Times and The Guardian newspapers noted that diplomatic contacts between the parties have reached an impasse and the likelihood of a new war is strengthening day by day.
