In the investigation conducted by the Antalya Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of 'bid rigging, bribery, and laundering of proceeds from crime' against ANSET, a subsidiary of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, 14 of the 27 individuals referred to the courthouse were arrested.
In the investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into ANSET, a subsidiary of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, within the scope of crimes including "bid rigging, bribery, and laundering of proceeds from crime," 14 of the 27 individuals referred to the courthouse were arrested. After the prosecutor's questioning, 11 people were released, while 2 were released under judicial control.
Coordinated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a probe was initiated by the Antalya Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch teams targeting ANSET, a subsidiary of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
According to a referral report prepared by a Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Interior and investigations conducted by police units, irregularities were identified in tenders carried out by ANSET. Within the scope of the investigation, proceedings were initiated against those authorized in the tenders and suspects identified with money transfers aimed at laundering proceeds from crime. It was reported that a public loss of 113 million 426 thousand Turkish Lira was identified in the case file.
SIMULTANEOUS OPERATION IN 7 PROVINCES
On April 30, 2026, a simultaneous operation was conducted based in Antalya, as well as in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Mugla, Denizli, and Edirne, for the capture of suspects and seizure of criminal elements.
As part of the investigation, detention decisions were initially made for 34 individuals. It was learned that with one more person detained during the process, the number of individuals in the case file increased to 35.
MUHITTIN BOCEK AND CANSEL TUNCER ALSO IN THE CASE FILE
Within the scope of the case file, proceedings were carried out against individuals including Muhittin Bocek, who was suspended from his position as Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor by a decision of the Ministry of Interior, and Cansel Tuncer, Secretary General of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality.
27 INDIVIDUALS REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE
Of the suspects detained in the operation, 27 were referred to the courthouse after their police procedures. After the prosecutor's questioning, 11 were released. Of the suspects referred to the criminal judgeship of peace, 14 were arrested, while 2 were released under judicial control.
It was learned that within the scope of the case file, 2 individuals were released after police procedures, 1 person's hospital treatment is ongoing, capture efforts continue for 3 fugitive suspects, and 2 individuals are in prison.
