In Gaziosmanpaşa, 15-year-old Asel lost her life after being hit by a water tanker.

FLED THE SCENE

The accident occurred around 6:00 PM on Abdi İpekçi Street in the Karayolları neighborhood. The tanker, which was waiting at a traffic light, moved as the light turned green. The tanker driver, not noticing Asel K. who was crossing the street after leaving school, hit her. After being alerted by bystanders, the tanker driver stopped the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

DEATH CONFIRMED

Upon notification, police and emergency medical teams arrived at the scene. The medical team's checks confirmed that Asel K. had died at the scene. After the police conducted their investigation, Asel K.'s body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue.

The police have launched an operation to capture the fleeing tanker driver.
