In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, 15-year-old Rabia Celil lost her life after being hit by a car while trying to cross the road. The driver was taken into custody.
In the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, Rabia Celil (15), who was trying to cross the road, lost her life after being hit by a car.
The accident occurred yesterday at around 18:30 on the Ergene-Çorlu ring road. Rabia Celil was struck by a car with license plate 59 APD 086 driven by O.Ç. (24) while she was attempting to cross the road. The impact threw the young girl to the side of the road. Health and police teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Health teams determined that Rabia Celil had died.
HER PARENTS SUFFERED A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN
While Celil's relatives at the scene experienced great sorrow, her mother and father suffered a nervous breakdown and fell ill. Celil's lifeless body was taken to the morgue of Çorlu State Hospital for autopsy after the investigation at the scene.
The police have taken the driver O.Ç. into custody and are continuing the investigation into the accident.
