Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 19 suspects who made armed posts on social media were detained. Various criminal elements were seized during the operation.
As part of an investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against suspects sharing armed content on social media, 19 suspects were detained in an operation.
VARIOUS ELEMENTS OF CRIME WERE SEIZED
Ankara Police Department Public Order Branch teams identified suspects who fired weapons and posted armed photos on social media accounts, challenging each other. Following technical and physical surveillance, a simultaneous pre-dawn operation was carried out in the Altındağ district against the suspects. In the operations conducted by the Robbery Bureau teams, 19 suspects were apprehended, and various elements of crime were seized during searches at the addresses. It was reported that the suspects had numerous records for offenses including 'Assault', 'Threat', 'Possession of an unlicensed firearm', and 'Drugs'.
Ankara Police Chief Maksut Yüksek stated that operations against 'cyber gangs' would continue with determination.
