Two Syrian children drowned after entering a pond to cool off in the Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman.
Two children, Talal Al-Sinjar (13) and his friend Abdullah Al-Sajer, drowned after entering a pond in the Gölbaşı district of Adıyaman.
The incident occurred in the afternoon in the Hürriyet neighborhood. Talal Al-Sinjar and Abdullah Al-Sajer, who had come to the pond with their families, entered the water to cool off, according to claims. After a while, noticing that the children did not come out of the pond, citizens reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
CHILDREN'S BODIES RECOVERED FROM APPROXIMATELY 4 METERS
Upon the notification, gendarmerie, health teams, and fire brigade teams affiliated with the Gölbaşı Municipality were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters reached the lifeless bodies of the children, who were stuck in mud at a depth of approximately 4 meters. The bodies of Talal Al-Sinjar and Abdullah Al-Sajer, identified as Syrian nationals, were taken to the morgue of the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy procedures.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
