2 Far-Left Terror Suspects Held In Eastern Turkey

Suspects were spreading DHKP C terror group’s propaganda on social media, security source says.

Turkish security forces on Friday arrested two people in eastern Turkey over their alleged links to far-left DHKP-C terror group, a security source said .
Acting on a tip, gendarmerie teams in the Akcadag district of Malatya province raided two houses and apprehended two suspects for allegedly spreading the terrorist group's propaganda on social media, said the source on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Two unregistered hunting rifles along with 55 bullets, a blank cartridge pistol, some organizational documents, and two cellphones were also seized in the raids.
The far-left DHKP-C is responsible for a number of terror attacks in Turkey, including a 2013 assault on the US Embassy in Ankara, in which a Turkish security guard was martyred.
The terror group is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU.
