After parting ways with Vincenzo Montella, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) continues its work to determine the new head coach of the Turkish National Football Team. Following Arda Turan and Şenol Güneş, two more candidates have been identified.
ABDULLAH AVCI FIRST ON THE LIST
With the Arda Turan option no longer available, the name Abdullah Avcı has come to the fore among the candidates. The experienced coach responded to the claims in recent days, stating that there was no finalized situation with the authorities. Avcı said, "It is a source of pride for my name to be mentioned with the national team. Serving Turkish football and our flag is every coach's desire. For now, the best course is to follow the process and wait."
INTERIM SOLUTION: SAMET AYBABA
Another possibility on the TFF's agenda is Samet Aybaba, Technical Coordinator of the Youth National Teams. It is stated that the management is keeping on the table, as a "Plan C," the option of temporarily entrusting the team to Aybaba for the Belgium and France matches to be played in November in the UEFA Nations League A.
