Two foreign nationals caught at Adana bus terminal were found to have a total of 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in 140 capsules in their stomachs. The women and two suspects with them were arrested.
In the narcotics operation held at Adana Bus Terminal, 2 foreign national women who were determined to be carrying drugs in their stomachs and 2 suspects with them were arrested. 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in 140 capsules were removed from the suspects' stomachs through medical intervention.
ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF DRUG TRAFFICKING
Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotics Branch initiated work upon receiving information that 2 foreign national women would bring drugs to the city. It was determined that the female suspects, placed under technical surveillance, arrived at Adana Bus Terminal and met with 2 people who were waiting for them there.
At the moment of the meeting, police teams pressed the button and took 4 suspects into custody. No criminal elements were found during the body searches conducted on the suspects.
CAPSULES APPEARED IN X-RAY
Suspecting that the drugs were transported using the body-packing method, the teams referred the female suspects to the hospital. In the X-ray films taken, it was determined that there were numerous foreign objects in the suspects' stomachs. As a result of the medical intervention performed at the hospital, a total of 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in 140 capsules were removed from the stomachs of the 2 women. After their procedures at the police station, a total of 4 suspects, including 2 women, were referred to the courthouse and were arrested by the duty judge and sent to prison.
