During an operation in Düzce, a commercial taxi identified as transporting drugs from Istanbul to the city was stopped by police teams. In the search, which included a narcotics dog, 710 grams of methamphetamine with a market value of approximately 3 million lira, hidden in the engine compartment, was seized. The suspect taken into custody was arrested.

MARKET VALUE 3 MILLION LIRA
Under the coordination of the Düzce Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, teams from the Anti-Narcotics Branch Directorate launched an operation based on information that drugs would be brought from Istanbul to the city. The commercial taxi, which was under surveillance, was stopped at a designated point. During a detailed search of the vehicle with the participation of a narcotics detector dog, it was determined that the drugs were hidden in a bag placed under the hood on top of the engine. The 710 grams of methamphetamine seized in the search had a market value of approximately 3 million lira.
SUSPECT ARRESTED
It was learned that suspect M.S. (45), detained in the operation, had a criminal record of 4 different offenses. After processing at the police station, M.S. was referred to the courthouse and arrested for the crime of "drug trafficking" by the duty judge and sent to prison.
