An investigation was launched by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the discovery of numerous dead cats on Adnan Kahveci Street. In a written statement from the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that a team was dispatched to the area and an investigation was initiated following posts made on some social media accounts.
"THE INCIDENT NEEDS TO BE CLARIFIED IN ALL ASPECTS"
Emphasizing that an investigation was launched by the Environmental, Zoning, Forestry, and Crimes Against Animals Investigation Bureau, the statement said, "A total of 33 cats, including adults and kittens, were found dead in front of garbage containers placed on the street."
It was reported in the statement that an investigation was immediately initiated within the scope of opposition to Law No. 5199 on Animal Protection regarding the incident, and it was noted that efforts are being meticulously carried out to clarify all aspects of the incident and identify those responsible.
